Impala Impala Impala

November 25, 2010 6:00pm

Sooooo.... just got back from a wedding in South Africa. We started in Durban and then made our way north to one of the national parks. It wasn't Kruger so we generally only saw animals that eat grass. I have realised I am not really the animal viewing type twisting and turning my head in a car. I think I much prefer to be eating the animals or riding them!!
But it was a fun trip nevertheless and i do recommend South Africa as it is a beautiful country! Word of note... do not drive through the center of the city... Dodgy!!

John Spinks

Spinks has recently collaborated with fashion shop and range Albam with his new book Factory. The book which has been put together in unison with the fashionistas is a deep and personal look into the creation of the clothes by its very creators. We are treat to close and personal and strikingly honest portraiture and wide and expansive landscape shots of the factories in which the clothes are manufactured. Raw, honest and oddly touching to behold.

Polly Morgan

October 24, 2010 6:00pm

Polly Morgan is essentially a taxidermist. Although not your usual taxidermist – I mean yes she does stuff animals but I like to think that there is a lot more to her work than your old pet in a comedic pose greeting visitors to your home. Although I’m sure she has made a few of these in her time, I mean, you would wouldn’t you.
But no, she is not the usual taxidermist in that she isn’t creepy, male or the embodiment of messed up daddy issues. She is beautiful, young, successful, sexually aware and intelligent. Her work, which can command up to £100,000 a piece and of which the likes of Damien Hirst, Banksy and Kate Moss are fans of are beautiful thought provoking pieces.
They are also, contrary to belief not celebrations of death but celebrations of calm and that is why I like her. She is not scared to be different, odd or against type. A maverick of the art world that we need more than ever right now.

Wooden kids bike

September 29, 2010 6:00pm

Now this is cool, although you’re three, six year old might not think it or even realise it. But this wooden cycle contraption is awesome. Not really what I was looking for when I searched bicycles
for sale
, but still, although I don’t have kids myself, if I did I would be snapping this up right now. Its awesome.
It’s like something out of an adventure comic, it’s like Robinson Crusoe made it or something. If you are reading this and are looking to get a bike for your young son or daughter, check this out. If you don’t want your kid to be cool and have awesome pictures and memories to look back on, don’t.
