The New R4i DS Card

March 26, 2011 11:36am

If you’re a regular DS gamer then I’m sure you’re already familiar with the original R4 cards that were created to allow you to that little bit more with the consoles. You may not be aware of the fact that the standard R4 cards are not compatible with the latest Nintendo DSi game systems. A bit of a bum note if you’ve just splashed out on the older version. Not the end of the world though as there is a new version of the old standard, which impressively packs a far greater punch than it’s latter. Which almost makes it alright.

The new R4i is backwards compatible with the older version as well as doing essentially the same job, only with a bit off extra somethings. Worth checking out if you’re a serious gamer.

The grass is always greener...

January 19, 2011 11:49am

The grass is always greener on the other side or so people say in warning to envy. It’s always a warning isn’t it though, because usually, once you have what someone else already has then you realise that it’s essentially just the same as what you had, or *gasp* worse. But by that time it’s always too late and you are stuck with it.
What if sometimes the grass could actually be greener on the other side though, take for example with your energy suppliers. If you could pay less for greater services, be it for broadband, gas or electric and you could hold it up in advance with your current suppliers to really compare the differences in shades.
Well you can. Simply do a google ofEnergy comparison and you will come across numerous different sites like Uswitch that will do just that. It’s almost like trying before you buy without having to personally try before you buy because someone else has...sort of.
Try it out yourself now and see if you could save some money. I think you’ll be surprised.

A northern kind of loan

January 16, 2011 2:11pm

Since the recession hit Britain it is no secret that the north was struck down worse. Whilst the south has managed to generally escape with little more than a limp, the north has been left completely and utterly bedridden.
This has seen thousands upon thousands of hardworking people, with families to provide for left jobless with no possible way to bring in a standard income. Like the many depressions before this will of course blow over, but for some that don’t have a nest egg banked for such occasions, the wait could be almost deathly.
One thought would be to go to your bank and get a loan to tie you over through the hardships, but without a job the chances of you being accepted on the loan or slim to none. Wonga is a an online loans system run by the people for the people which could possibly be just what you are looking for. By filling out a few simple forms you could very quickly be granted a same day loans that can be then paid back on your own terms.
A loan company that is moving with the times.

Stick it to the man

January 5, 2011 1:02pm

If it’s not the recession that’s bringing us down it’s the rise in VAT or the rising corporate business cuts. It seems that if the golden age of the new millennium has taught us anything, it is that sticking it to the man is becoming more and more important, as lets face it, he’s out to get us.

Which is why on my list of things that make me happy at the moment are those little nuggets of the internet which exist souly to make our lives easier and cheaper. Yes, that’s right, I’m talking about comparison websites. Those brilliant search driven pages that point out the glaring faults of major organisations and get us more for our money. Uswitch in particular would be high upon my list, if you’re dubious about how much you are spending on broadband or just looking to find a cheaper energy supplier, then you could certainly do a whole lot worse than pay them a visit.
